We were both very interested in the idea of a constructed reality and that was the starting point for the works we created for the exhibition. We started working on this exhibition through a long correspondence over Google docs. The correspondence was about everything and anything that interested us, but in the end we landed on the unreliability and fragility of reality, how a lot of it is based on some agreements we have no influence over and how the real is a construction.

We wanted to apply our line of thought into the way we approached the space, to see if we would be able to construct a space in the space itself. We did this by making walls out of a very ugly green wallpaper, thereby physically implementing and giving the borders of a constructed reality. An exhibition is after all a form of a different reality itself, very literally constructed. It has its own space with its own rules about how to act and perceive, sometimes unspoken rules and sometimes enforced.
